OP SHOP: Salvos Store
LOCATION: 86 Bridge Mall, Ballarat.
OPEN HOURS: Monday to Saturday, 9am – 5pm.
SHOP SIZE: Large.
AESTHETICS: Light, bright, clean and well organised. This store is set out, much like you would find in a retail space and their window displays are really something to be proud of.
ACCESS: Pram and Wheelchair friendly … however, you will need to open the second door at the entrance. Once inside there is adequate space to move around and also a ramp towards the rear of the store.
STOCK: There is a large selection of women’s clothing and accessories, it appears to be the main focus of this particular store … and the quality of the garments is excellent. There is also a great selection of crockery, homewares and children’s apparel.
PRICING: Prices are very reasonable and everything is individually priced for your convenience. Each week the Salvos Stores have a colour tag sale … items with a specified colour tag are 50% off for that week only.
STORE HIGHLIGHTS: The change rooms! They are so lovely and big … plenty of room if you are shopping with the kids and need to try something on. Great mirrors and lovely and clean.
DONATIONS: Please donate your quality goods instore during opening hours.
*Remember that when making donations to any op shop, please ensure items are clean and in good working order. If you wouldn’t give it to a friend, then don’t give it to the op shop – that’s generally a good rule of thumb!
