Hello and welcome to another edition of the Ballarat Op Shop Dairies … this month I wanted to share with you probably one of my best op shop finds ever!! Which is a big call considering the many years of op shopping I have under my belt!
But when I came across an item that I had been lusting over from Instagram for quite some time … I squealed with excitement! Yes, I actually squealed!
These amazing handmade statement earrings are nothing short of divine! They are made by a gorgeous Artist named Samantha, her business is called Sokoke and she is based in Geelong.
At first I wondered how someone could part with these!!? I mean … look at them!! The only possible conclusion is that it was a mistake!! But as they say, ‘one woman’s trash (or mistaken trash), is another woman’s treasure’! And treasure they definitely are! I simply adore them and can’t believe I snapped them up for $3.00 when they retail for almost $40.00!!
So, my op shopping friends … it pays to know your brands, and to never be afraid to dig to the bottom of basket!
Which is exactly where I found these beauties hiding! I will of course share the wonderful Ballarat Op Shop in which I found them … it was at Wozzels Warehouse (1231 Howitt Street, Wendouree) … indeed one of my favourite op shops! Finding these earrings at the op shop, just reinforced my belief that ‘second hand, isn’t second best’! Given the time and dedication, you can be dressed your best, and accessorized to perfection, purely by shopping preloved!
