Ballarat City Council – volunteer positions for local events and programs such as Meals on Wheels, Parent Place, Home Library, Art Gallery, Youth Events, Her Majesty’s etc.
Ballarat Health Services – volunteer positions in various units of the hospital, shops & kiosks with activities such as craft, reading, exercise, gardening, writing letters on patient’s behalf and socialising.
Uniting Care – opportunities to assist with aged and disability to visit, befriend or escort to appointments. Also Lifeline, Op Shops and meal delivery positions.
Ballarat Community Health Centre – volunteer positions such as mail delivery, errands, administration, transport, preparing for programs and groups.
RSPCA – caring for animals, cleaning the environment, feeding and grooming animals, customer service and administration.
The Soup Bus – serving hot meals to homeless and disadvantaged community members.
Pinarc – working with kids and adults, opportunities include social activities, art & craft, individual support, dancing, driving lessons, administration, supporting parents and carers and much more.
Community & Family Services (CAFS) – Foster Care, Friends of Foster Carers, Mentoring, Early Childhood Parenting Centre & the Wozzles Warehouse op shop.
Conservation Volunteers – get involved in local / daily activities, longer term projects, youth initiatives, administration and field work or overseas conservation trips.
Ballarat Hospice Care – help out with administration, transport, maintenance, board of management, fundraising activities and spending time with patients.
YMCA – many ways to get involved with the community, including work experience and tertiary placements.
Rotary Ballarat – run large community fundraisers, get involved in local projects to help others, use your skills and interests, make new friends and have fun.
Big Brothers & Big Sisters – spend time with a young person each week doing fun, low cost activities. Become great friends and have a positive impact on their life.
United Way – reading with children, driving lessons, social activities, mens sheds and breakfast club.e.motion21 – dance classes for young people with Down Syndrome, various voluntary positions available. No experience needed.
